Lewis Johns, 580 N. Franklin St., died Sunday at 2:30 p. m. in Mercy Hospital.
Born in Plymouth July 24, 1905, he moved to Rockville, Conn., in 1949 and took up residence in Wilkes-Barre in 1970 upon his retirement from the Pratt Whitney Corporation, Hartford, Conn. He was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his widow, the former Ruth Kemp; sons, Lewis Jr., Edwardsville; Fred Hughes, Manchester, Conn.; daughters, Mrs. Ruth Klavonski, Plymouth; Mrs. Jane Bachand, Manchester, Conn.; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Johns, Plymouth; Llewellyn Johns, Edwardsville; James Johns, Wilkes-Barre; David Johns, Endicott, N. Y.
Funeral will be from Williams Funeral Home, 114 W. Main St., Plymouth, Wednesday at 11 with Rev. Henry Geist officiating. Burial, Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Monday 7 to 9 and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
