She was born Nov. 8, 1910 in Independence, the daughter of William Elwood and Nellie Brimmer Hearn. On July 13, 1927 she and Paul Burton Higgins were married. He preceded her in death in 1977.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and three sisters, Ann Kelcher, Bessie Fisher and Fern Scott.
