Jackie DeWayne Cochran, 89, resident of Bartlesville, died at 11:02 AM on Tuesday, January 7, 2014.
Jackie DeWayne Cochran was born November 22, 1924 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Andrew Jackson and Helen Marie (Parton) Cochran. He was raised and received his education in Bartlesville. Jackie entered the U. S. Navy on June 17, 1943 and was honorably discharged on March 18, 1946. He was married to Mary Francis Kellogg on December 19, 1946 at Columbus, Kansas. Jackie was employed as a route salesman for Page Milk Company, Crystal Creamery, Top Hand Dairy and Meadow Gold Dairies retiring from Meadow Gold. Jackie was a member of the West Side Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Worship Leader.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; one son Jackie Michael Cochran three infant children; and three sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2014 in the Dewey Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by the James H. Teel American Legion Post # 105 Graveside services and interment will be directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
