Elvin Baker, 83, of Denton, passed away January 8, 2014 in Denton. He was born June 19, 1930 in Denton to Arthur B. Baker Sr. and Inez Coberly Baker.
He attended Denton Public Schools and was a charter member and deacon of Lake Shore Baptist Church. He was married to Velma Jewell Williams on February 15, 1952 in Gainesville, Texas and she passed away on September 28, 2011. He served in the U S Navy.
Survived by his daughters, Patricia Lynn Baird and Laura Ann Boxell, son, Arthur M. Baker, sister, Effie Inez Kelly and his grand children.
A visitation will be held January 10, 2014 at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Denton, followed by a funeral service on January 11, 2014 at Lakeshore Baptist Church in Lake Dallas, Texas. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
