Doris Onora Martschinske, 81, passed away August 15, 2013 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The daughter of Lawrence and Minnie (Heisz) Talbott, she was born on January 1, 1932 in Graham County, Kansas.
Doris was united in marriage to Charles H. Martschinske on September 3, 1949 in Canon City. They lived and raised their children in Leadville. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Leadville. In 1988, they returned to Canon City. Upon the death of her husband, Doris returned to Leadville and later moved to Littleton with her son.
Mrs. Martschinske is survived by her children; Angela Hoglan, Roger (Mel) Martschinske, Sylvia Barton, Kevin (Daisy) Martschinske, Carl (Sandy) Martschinske, Brian (Connie) Martschinske, and Michael (Virl) Martschinske; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and sister Letha McDowell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1994; and siblings, Milford Talbott, Alford Talbott, Laura Roberts, Viola Kinsman, and Nellie Ahart.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2013 at Lakeside Cemetery in Canon City, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Collier Hospice Center at 3210 N. Lutheran Pkwy., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
