Furlie Viola Eaker, 97, of Cape Girardeau, died June 13, 1996 at Fountainbleau Lodge. She was born October 5, 1898 in Bollinger County, daughter of the late Lorence and Betty F. Eaker James.
She and Glen E. Eaker were married January 12, 1918. He died January 12, 1994.
She was a member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Jesse and James Eaker of Cape Girardeau, MO; Jack Eaker of Whitewater, MO; two brothers, Carl James of Chaffee, MO and Cyrus James of Dearborn, MI; one sister Audrey Pulley of McClure, IL; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son; an infant daughter; one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services were Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO. Burial was in Bollinger County Memorial Park.
