Mrs. Ruth Boxell Dies At Marion
Former Wells County Resident Summoned; Burial At Warren
Mrs. Ruth R. Boxell, 72, a former resident of Wells county, died at 11:30 Sunday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Sarah Malcolm, of 618 East 26th street, Marion, following an illness of six weeks.
The decedent was born in 1870 in Wells county to John and Margaret Ruble Beard, who are deceased. She was married Sept. 22, 1889 to John Daniel Boxell, deceased.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Sarah Malcolm, of Marion; Mrs. Mima Broyles, of Huntington; Mrs. Artie Grist, of Asher, Okla.; Mrs. Edith Pulley, of Marion; Mrs. Mary McAmany, of Marion; three sons, Martin Boxell, of Warren; Alvin Boxell, of Marion, and Corey Boxell, of Marion. Two brothers, Frank Beard, of Ranger, Texas, and Charles Beard, of Salem, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Schoonover of Fort Worth, Tex., also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the George Street Wesleyan church in Marion, of which Mrs. Boxell was a member, in charge of Rev. Loren Van Matre. Burial will be in the Red Men's cemetery at Warren.
