Daughter of Thomas and Harriet Higbee Canon.

Oil City Derrick, Saturday, Mar 1 1958:
Mrs. Ada Day, 98, of Victory Township for many years, died at 9:30 am Thursday the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas of Youngstown, OH. She was born March 3, 1859, daughter of Thomas and Harriet Higbee Canon of Mercer County.

She married Robert Day who died Oct. 16, 1933.

She spent most of her life in the Pearl and Springville area, where they lived on farms. Since Robert's death, where had been living with her children. She was the oldest member of Hickory Grove Church of God.

Surviving are 2 sons and 6 daughters, Mrs. C. L. (Eva) McFadden, Orange City, FL, Charles Day, Cleveland Heights, OH, Mrs. Sam (Molly) Huey, Butler, Harry Day, Polk, Mrs. C. J. (Nan) Smith, St. Petersburg, FL, Mrs. Tillie Tice, Beaver Falls, Mrs. Dudley (Daisy) August, San Bernardino, CA, and Mrs. Edith Thomas of Youngstown, OH; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Lackey, 90, of Stoneboro, and Mrs. Mary Egbert, 84, of Charleston, VA. Deceased is a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Hattie) Wareham of Springville.
