Son of William B. and Isoline Gilmore Beach, he married, lived at RD 2 Polk, was a caretaker for the Pennsylvania Department of Highways, died in the Franklin Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage, per death certificate 36353.

Per Pennsylvania Marriages, on Jun 1 1911 in Venango Co, Katharine Elizabeth Pettit, daughter of C. C. and Viola M. Pettit, married Rulif James Beach, son of William M. and Margaret I. Beach.

Rulif James Beach, 68, of Polk RD 2, died in Franklin Hospital at 10:25 am today. He was born Nov. 17, 1885, in Irwin Township, son of William B. and Isoline Gilmore Beach.

He was a highway caretaker for he Pennsylvania Department of Highways for the past 30 years. He suffered a stroke while at work in the Bullion area April 5, was rushed to the hospital, and was a patient there until his death. He was a member of the 25-year club of the Highways Department, and a member of Hickory Grove Church of God. For many years he served as secretary and treasure of the Victory Township Board of Supervisors.

He married Katherine Pettit and she survives, with children, Mrs. Leonard (Lucille) Rosen, Meadville RD 5, Mrs. Richard (Viola) Wallen, Cleveland, OH, James P. Beach of Franklin, Mrs. Gale (Martha) Evans of Beaver, and Mrs. James (Mary) Miller, Polk RD 2; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Herbert Beach of Port Arthur, TX; and a sister, Mrs. Pearl DeWoody, Polk RD 2.

Services will be at 1:30 pm Saturday at Hickory Grove Church of God with Rev. W. C. McAllister, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
