Born in Chapin, SC, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Elizabeth Wessinger Eargle. She was the widow of Herbert James Butler who died in l968. Faye loved hiking, gardening and her cats. She was a member of the Sierra Club and the Eastern Star.
Surviving are: two sons, Jack L. Butler (Star) of Hendersonville, NC and William Butler (Joanne) of Cumming, GA and a daughter, Susan Tromeur of Flat Rock, NC. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, l6 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Dr. Chris Osborn officiating.
Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC.
