"Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matt 5:4

Inez Mabe Beck, 85 passed away January 5, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born December 11, 1928 to Ralph and Nellie Mabe. Growing up on a farm provided her with the strong work ethic she maintained throughout her life. After graduating high school from Old Richmond, Inez went to work at Western Electric where she met her love and soul mate Henry Beck. With two small daughters she left public work and became a "stay-at-home mom" and full-time wife. In 1964 she graduated from National Academy of Hair Styling and worked for a short time at a local beauty salon. Her life was dedicated to the Lord, her family and providing a wonderful, nurturing home. She made amazing dresses for her little girls and chic fashions for baby dolls and Barbies. She was a great cook and made the best apple pies in the world!

Inez was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry Marshall Beck, on December 14, 2013 after celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary in June. We take great comfort that they are now together and in the presence of the Lord. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother, Roy T. Myers and one sister, Hazel Steele. Surviving are two daughters: Debra Abbott (Vaughn) of Westerville, OH and Robin Beck of Tobaccoville; two grandchildren: Derick Elder of King and Katie (Andrew) Worsham of Gahanna, OH; two great-grandsons: Noah and Lucas Worsham of Gahanna, OH; sister and best friend; Evelyn Windsor of Pfafftown; a dear cousin Wilburn Mabe and wife Helen; her faithful puppy Charlie and numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening, January 8th at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. A memorial service and celebration of life will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at North Point Baptist Church where she was a member as long as her health permitted; Pastor Skip Farrow and Rev. Truitt Williams will officiate. Interment will immediately follow at Macedonia Baptist Church in Tobaccoville beside her beloved husband.

We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Richard Marx and Dr. Lucy Lauve for their dedicated care to Mother for many years. We also thank many faithful friends for their visits, prayers and encouragement. Online condolence may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
