FRANK H. BECK

Frank H. Beck was born in Belle Plain, Iowa, April 1, 1878 and died suddenly at his home in Birmingham at 2:15 p.m. Nov. 4. 1943, aged 65 years 7 months and 3 days, following several months illness with heart trouble. He was married to Hulda Fee in 1906, who died in March 1941.

He was again married to Mrs. Gertie Crowe, Nov. 1, 1941, who survives him. He is also survived by a step-daughter by his first marriage, Mrs. Elmer Godown and four grandchildren of Tulsa, Okla,, and two sisters, Mrs. Addie Kruse in California and Mrs. Laura Hoesch of Houston, Texas, five nieces and nephews and seven grandchildren by his latter marriage.

He was reared by his grandparents and was baptized in the Lutheran faith. He had lived his entire life in Iowa and had been in the employ of the Northwestern railroad 45 years, retiring as an engineer, April 1, 1943.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church in Birmingham, Sunday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. Jay Waterman of Cantril. Burial in Maple Hill cemetery, Birmingham.
