Death of Several Well-Known People in Wicomico County
Mrs. Martha Washington Cooper, wife of
Judge Lambert H. Cooper, died at her home
near Mardela Springs, Thursday morning last.
The deceased was the daughter of the late
Wm. H. Bradley, of Sharptown district. She
was married to Judge Cooper 36 years ago.
Besides her husband, four sons and two
daughters survive--Irving N. and Charles of
the firm of Cooper Bros. of Mardela, Wm. M..
associate editor of the Advertiser, and Marks.
The daughters are Mrs. Wm. T. Wilson and
one unmarried.
Funeral services were held at the house at three o'clock Friday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Mr. P. H. Atkins of St. Paul's church, Spring Hill, where the deceased had
been a member for nearly forty years. The interment took place in the cemetery at Mardela immediately after the services.
