Hollis Eugene Allen Sr., 78, of Waco, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014, at his residence. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 9, in Oakwood Cemetery with Mike Berryhill officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, at Bellmead Funeral Home.
Hollis was born in Old Glory, Texas, to the late Walter and Myra (Mathis) Allen. He retired from Asplundh Tree Service, having started as a tree trimmer, then foreman and later General Foreman. He was a Safety Supervisor when he retired.
He was proceeded in death by a son, Lynne Allen in 1992 and a daughter, Lisa Allen Duncan in 2013.
