Clinton O. Clay, 69, formerly of Reigel Street, Hellertown, died Tuesday in Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center II, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Eleanore (Howard) Clay.
He was an instrument repairman at Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 44 years.
Born in Bethlehem Township, he was a son of the late Clinton Sr. and Clara Clay.
He was a member of First United Church of Christ, Hellertown.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving as a corporal in the Pacific.
An avid bowler, he carried a 200 average and scored a perfect game on March 20, 1954, at the Boulevard Bowling Center, Allentown.
Survivors: Wife; sons, Scott and Mark, both of Bethlehem; daughter Lynn of Nazareth and two grandchildren.
