He was born October 7, 1926 in Mad River Township, Champaign County, the son of James and Ora (Bishop) Ward.
He was a life long resident of Champaign County.
Calvin served his country in the United States Army. He retired from United Board & Carton in 1970 with 26 years of service. He assisted with Helping Hand Mission and the Christian Messenger Mission. Calvin enjoyed gardening & planting trees; he truly had a green thumb.
He is survived by a step daughter, his brother, his sisters, and numerous nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Evelyn Ward, his sisters, Dorothy Siegenthaler and Norma Nicholas and his brothers, Paul & Roland Ward.
