Funeral service for Stephen R. Swan of Tweedside, 92, was held at the Knox Presbyterian Church in Harvey Station. Rev. David Dewar officiated. Pallbearers were grandsons Larry Swan, Robert Swan, Darren Johnston and neighbors Wetzel Swan, Winston Rutherford and Gordon Piercy. Mr Swan is survived by his wife Inez (Bell); two sons, Russel of McAdam, LeRoy of Tweedside and five daughters, Mrs Vern Dragland (Annie) of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Mrs George Corey (Charlotte) of Port Hope, Ontario, Mrs Del Johnston (Beryl), Mrs Harold Swan (Aldana), Mrs Gerry Piercy (Betty) all of Harvey, also grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He married Inez Pearl Bell, daughter of Charles Alexander Bell & Margaret "Belle" Messer. Born 6 Mar 1913 in Lake Road, Harvey Station. Died 11 Dec 2003 in Oromocto Public Hospital, Oromocto. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
