Veronica "Sissy" Mae King, 36. of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006 at her home.
Born Feb. 5, 1970 in Hayti, she was the daughter of Cora Mae Biggs Fennell and the late Perry Gene White. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Frank Biggs ad John Edward Biggs; paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Elija White; three uncles, Gary Wayne Biggs, Tommy Joe Biggs ad Ralph Wade; and two cousins, Jamie Lee Goss and Charlie Mac McCaig Jr.
Ms. King leaves her ex-husband, Johnny W. Marcrum; Four children: Erika Renee Lucy, April Jean Dorris and her husband Patrick, James "Bam-Bam" Jeffery King Jr., and Jessie Lynn King, all of Caruthersville; One foster daughter, Misty Dawn Gibson; Two granddaughters: Nadley Michelle Dorriss and Mason Jade Doriss; Her mother and stepfather, Cora Mae and Dennis Perry Fennell, of Caruthersville; Her father, James Simpson; One brother, James Paul White; One sister, Angela Renee Fennell; Five nieces: Jamie Marie White, Kristen Alexander, Briahna White, Payton Ledbetter and Emma Grace Lindsey; Five nephews: Kyler Hippler, Timothy White, Noah White, Charles Reeves and Luke White; Five aunts: Clora Belle Turpen and Brenda Lawrence Linda McCaig, Patricia McCammon and Vickie Hollis; Four uncles, Jerry Don Biggs, Charles Biggs, Jerry Watts and Johnny Watts; and Her stepfather, Kenny McCoy.
Funeral services for Ms. King were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006 at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.
Burial was at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
