"Derek Wayne Lowery, 27, of Hattiesburg, died January 4, 2014, at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Main Street Baptist Church followed by burial in Highland Cemetery.
Mr. Lowery was a cook at Tophers and was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. He loved baseball.
Derek was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Louise Lowery; a brother, Donald Wayne Lowery, Jr.; and his grandfather, Carroll Rainer.
He is survived by his father, Donald Wayne Lowery, Sr. of Hattiesburg; two sisters, Elise Lowery and Renee Lowery both of Hattiesburg; one brother, Justin Lowery of Hattiesburg; a niece, Elizabeth; a nephew, Alex; and grandparents, Louise Rainer, Lelia Grace and Carroll Lowery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg."
