He second married Elizabeth "Bess" Dryden, 31 Mar 1858 in Harvey, York Co., NB By Rev. Samuel Johnson. Born 1830. Died 5 Mar 1914 in Tweedside. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Witnesses to marriage to Alexander Swan were John Nesbit and Eleanor Johnson.
