ELLIS -- Phillip J., 65, of Broken Arrow, retired Vice-President of Mobil Oil Credit Corporation and MCFC National Bank journeyed into eternal life Friday, November 4, 2005. He was born January 31, 1940, to Brownie Ann and Harlan James Ellis in Monahans, TX. He graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1958 where he was a three time State Champion wrestler. He then attended Oklahoma State University and Tulsa University. He moved to Kansas City with his beloved wife, Deidre, in 1967, where he was employed by Mobil Oil Credit Corp. After a very successful career he retired in December 2000, with 32 years of service. He was a member of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church. Phil was known for his wit and humor, dedication and loyalty and love of the ocean, boating, travel, and golf. Above all he was best known for being a great husband, loving father, and adored grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends, but never forgotten. He is survived by: his wife of 38 years, Deidre; daughters, Andrea Moore of Ashland, MO, Amber Ellis of Pembroke Pines, FL; 2 grandchildren, Ian and Ciara Moore; sister, Beverly Coker of Tulsa, OK; brother, Joe Ellis of Leo, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Elizabeth Whitney; and nephews, Larry Whitney and Randy Whitney. A Memorial service will be held at Boston Avenue United Methodist Church, Rose Chapel, 13th and Boston, Tulsa, OK, Friday, November 11, at 10:30 a.m. A private inurnment will be at Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Saint Francis Hospice House or the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church Endowment Fund. Floral Haven, 252-2518.
