Word has come of the death of Mrs. Bettie Mitchell at the home of her son, John L. Patterson, at Nebraska City, Nebraska. The cause of death was paralysis. Mrs. Mitchell was a sister of the late Mrs. B. F. Thomas, a daughter of the late Jacob Vandergrift. She was twice married, having one son by each marriage, who survive.
