SPOKANE, Wash. -- Wilna M. (Boutwell) Weir, of Spokane, formerly of 40 Brookline St., Townsend, Mass., died Wednesday, March 20, in Spokane.
She was born June 26, 1913, in Gardner, Mass., the eldest of 13 children of Frank and Ella Boutwell. She later lived many years in Townsend before moving to Washington.
Mrs. Weir worked at New England Business Service Inc. in Townsend. She also owned and operated an antique shop in her home in Townsend before she retired.
She was active for many years in Townsend United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She was a former member of the Townsend Women's Club. After moving to Spokane, she became a member of the Audubon Park United Methodist Church. She had enjoyed many hobbies over the years.
She leaves a daughter, Glenda Buterbaugh of Spokane; two brothers, Chester F. Boutwell and Kenneth L. Boutwell, both of Fitchburg, Mass.; a sister, Beulah Greenough of Townsend; a granddaughter, three great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
Her husband, William Howard Weir, died on June 21, 1979.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6, at 11 a.m. in Townsend United Methodist Church, Main Street.
Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Townsend.
There are no calling hours.
