He is survived by his son Charles Thurman of Alpharetta, daughters Chantel Thurman of Duvall, WA, Nicole Smith of Apollo Beach, FL and Deborah Thurman of St. Petersburg, FL, grandchildren Axel Thurman Saunders, Joseph Smith and Jack Smith, brothers Ron Thurman and Kenneth Thurman.
He was preceded in death by his wife Karen G. Thurman.
