She was born on Jan. 12, 1914, in Butler. She was the eldest daughter of the late Tim and Gertrude (Shearer) Frederick.
Helen was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church and a life member of the Tanglewood Center.
She is survived by her daughter, Gayle Cory of New Wilmington, Pa., with whom she had made her home with for the past three years; her grandson, Jim Cory and his wife, Maureen; her great-granddaughter, Jacquelyn Cory of Grove City; and her granddaughter, Susan Cory of Cody, Wy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman L. Domke, who she married on May 30, 1936, and who passed away on May 18, 1995; her five sisters, Genevieve Snyder, Pauline Scarnato, Alma Jane Watterson Fritch, Gladys Emrick and Ruth Conrad Hawk; and her brother, Donald Frederick.
DOMKE - At her request, there will be no public visitation for Helen Frederick Domke, who passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will take place in the Gruenwald Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
The family suggest memorial donation be made to the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler, PA 16001.
