DEFIANCE-Barbara A. Karr, 62, 356 Koerber Drive, Defiance, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 1990, at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo.
Born Dec. 24, 1927, she was the daughter of Mary Ruth (Baker) and James R. Kimberly.
A member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance, she had been secretary to the mayor of Defiance from 1980 to 1984.
On Aug. 29, 1948, she married Donald Karr, and he survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey of Defiance; two daughters, Mrs. Jeffery (Jane) Leonard of Bryan and Mrs. Joseph (Julie) Berger of Fremont; two granddaughters; a sister, Mrs. Jack (Jeanne) Lantow of Long Beach, Calif.; and a brother, James Kimberly of Ontario, Calif.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Mrs. Jane Weisenburger.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Edward Schleter officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance.
Calling will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home, Defiance, where a vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Preferred memorials are to Caring Way Hospice or the church.
