COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Flora Dee Dunson, 80, of Baxter, will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. today, Nov. 7, at the funeral home.
Ms. Dunson died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, in Carthage General Hospital.
She was born Feb. 16, 1925, in Putnam County to the late Henry Taylor and Margaret Alice Mills Thomas.
Ms. Dunson was a homemaker and factory worker with Acme Boot Company. She was a member of Bussell Church of Christ.
Her family includes two daughters and sonsinlaw, Elaine and Ronnie Nabors of Baxter and Linda and Steve Blair of Baxter; a son and daughterinlaw, Danny and Pam Dunson of Sparta; a brotherinlaw, Ward Henley of Baxter; a very special friend, Debbie Allen of Hilham; seven grandchildren, Tracy Brown, Jody Burton, Melissa Winningham, Danielle Mullen, Jerry Wassom, Andy Rutherford and Misty Nabors; nine greatgrandchildren; and two step grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Ernest Dunson; a daughter, Onita Rutherford; a grandson, Chad Nabors; three brothers, Sidney, Sammie and Simon Thomas; two sisters, Ova Thomas and Ora Henley; and a fatherinlaw and motherinlaw, Sam and Cordie Dunson.
