CALDWELL – Woodrow D. Boyd, 77, of Hilliard, formerly of Fairground Street, Caldwell, died at 8:25 a.m. Sunday, March 1, 1992, at the Arbors in Hilliard.

Mr. Boyd was a retired employee of the Schott Lumber Co. in Caldwell and formerly sold monuments for Bowers Memorials at Sonora. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Caldwell, active member of the Noble County Democratic Party, a former member of its Central Committee, and a former member of the Noble County Board of Elections.

Born Aug 21, 1914, in Noble County, he was a son of Jack and Cora Parks Boyd.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Danny (Joan) Bates of Amlin; one son William W. Boyd of Galena; one sister, Della Boyd of Caldwell; one half brother, Budd Parks of Oklahoma; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Belle R. Ramsey Boyd on Jan. 21, 1988; one son James Lee Boyd; and on brother Robert Boyd.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home in Caldwell, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Jim Garrett officiating.

Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery.
