Ellen M. Barber died peacefully at her home in Shiloh, Ill., Jan. 2, 2014.
Ellen's vitality and zest for life was shared with friends who spanned her years at St. Regis Elementary School, St. Teresa Academy High School, St. Phillips Parish of East St. Louis, Ill., The Red Nose Society of North America, Junior League, Assumption High School Mothers Club, Tamarack Golf Club, Ira E. Berry Realty, Corpus Christi Parish, and the Jolly Seniors.
Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Barber, Sr.; parents, James E. and Anna, nee Andrees, Mulligan; sisters, Catherine Mullligan Henties, Dorothy Mulligan, and Alma Mulligan; brothers, Eugene Mulligan, Joseph Mulligan, Edward Mulligan, Arthur Mulligan, and Martin Mulligan; and a grandson, Sean Budde.
Ellen will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Wayne Barber, Jr., Terrance Lee Barber (Patricia), Wesley Dean Barber (Dona); daughter, Maureen Barber Hill (Bill Mallard); grandchildren, Julie Zuber, Kristen Faris, Alison Clark, Terrance Lee Barber, Jr., Meghan Hill, and Michael Hill; and great-grandchildren, Delia Mae, Noah, Brady, Ariana, Cruz; sister, Anna Mae Mulligan Fahrner; brother, Paul Mulligan; and many loving nieces, nephews and members of her large extended family.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Shiloh, Ill., with Monsignor James Margason officiating. A Christian Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
