She married Eugene Willard "Gene" Theisen on July 2, 1947 in Rawlins, Carbon county, Wyoming. She died in the nursing home in Rawlins, Carbon county, Wyoming on January 3, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband who died in 1985 and her two beloved sisters, Billie Jean West Burns, who died in 1997; and Betty Lou West Michie, who died in 2013. The cremains of her beloved dog, Lonesome, were buried with her.
