Buren Vincent King, 90, passed away Sunday, August 20, 1995 at his home of causes incident to age.

He was born November 15, 1904 in Gum Branch, North Carolina, a son of Joseph Franklin and Bertha May Cox King. He married Mildred Newton January 10, 1931 in Farmington, Utah. She preceded him in death in October of 1977. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He had worked as a parts specialist for Hill Air Force Base

He was an active member of the LDS Church having served as ward clerk, stake clerk, temple officiator at the Ogden Temple and the Dallas Texas Temple. He was one of the founders of the Layton Stake Camp.

Surviving are one son, Gerald Newton (Lenore) King, Ben Wheeler, Texas; one daughter, LaRae Vanfleet, Layton; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 1995, at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1074 North Fairfield Road. Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, 12-12:45 p.m. at the mortuary prior to services. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Boy Scouts of America.
