DEATH OF MRS. NICHOLS
Mrs. Louisa Nichols, mother of Mrs. Rol Nichols and stepmother of Mrs. J. C. Gordon, died t one o’clock yesterday after a very brief illness. The family has been living near Menoken, and came to town recently, intending to occupy a new and handsome residence, just completed, on Monroe street. She was staying at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nichols.
Mrs. Nichols was 65 years old and had been an invalid for several years. Besides her husband, her immediate family consisted of a son, Frank, who lived with them. At the time of her death he was on his way to her bedside, having been hastily summoned from the farm.
Mrs. Nichols was an old citizen of Topeka and highly esteemed by all who new her. The funeral will be held to-day at 3 o’clock from the residence of Rol Nichols, corner of Quincy and Laurent streets.
