Ellis Rae "Hank" Ellerman , 78, of
Pleasant Valley, MO , passed away April
23, 2011. Visitation will be held from 6-8
p.m., Monday, April 25, and funeral
service 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, at the
Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at 291
Highway, Liberty. Burial will follow in
White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu
of flowers, memorial contributions are
suggested in Hank's name to the United
Methodist Church of Richmond, 212
West Main Street, Richmond, MO
64085.
Hank was born December 22, 1932, the
son of Lester George and Sylvia Florence
(Worthington) Ellerman . Along
with his parents, Hank was preceded in
death by his wife of 41 years, Joyce Ellen
(Cameron) Ellerman , and two brothers,
Charles and Les Ellerman . He was
honorably discharged from the U.S.
Army. He later went to work in the
roofing business for more than 40
years, and owned and operated Ellerman
Roofing. Hank was a member of
Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church and was
a longtime member of the Lions Club.
He was also a former member of the
Claycomo Saddle Club.
Hank leaves three children: Rae Jean
Powell (Robert), Julie Foster (Robin),
and Rick Ellerman ; seven grandchildren:
Jason, James J., Austin, Brooke, Jacquelyn
Rae, Joel and Josie; seven great
grandchildren; and a half-brother, Gene
Ellerman . He also leaves his friend and
companion, Melodie Gaukel.
