Born October 25, 1942 in Portland, Indiana he was the son of the late Virgil M. & Gladys L. (Hughes) Rees.
He was a graduate of Dunkirk High School with the class of 1960, and a graduate of Ball State University in 1965.
He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, the former Judith A. Evans, on November 18, 1962, and she survives.
After an adventurous career that took him across the continent and overseas; Mike & Judy retired to Greensboro, Georgia, where the golfing was good all year long. He was a beloved husband & father and an avid golfer, sailor, and traveler.
Besides his wife Judy, survivors include two sons, Gary Rees (Eileen) of Mine Hill, New Jersey and Alex Rees of Greensboro, Georgia; two brothers, Larry Rees of Muncie, Indiana and James Rees of Bolingbrook, Illinois.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2008 from 1 till 2:00 P.M. at Gardens of Memory, in Muncie, Indiana.
The Celebration of Mike's life will begin at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the Gardens of Memory in Muncie. Burial will then follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
