Charles C. Thuss, 80, of 608 W. Cleveland, died yesterday afternoon at Port Edwards of a heart condition. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Christ Lutheran Church with the Rev. T. P. Bradtke officiating. Burial will be made in Hillside cemetery.
The body will repose at the Hansen Funeral Home beginning Wednesday evening.
Mr. Thuss was born June 3, 1878, at Two Rivers, and received his education there. He came to Marshfield at the age of 21, and had lived here since, except for the period, 1907-1910, when he resided at Neillsville. He worked for Shaperman and Bondson, for Upham and Roddis, and until 15 years ago was a school custodian.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
He was married at Marshfield on Sept. 28, 1901 to Katherin Dix, who preceded him in death in 1937.
He is survived by two sons, Elmer Thuss, Marshfield; Clarence Thuss, Manitowoc; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Gessel, Two Rivers.
Five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
