John and wife Hannah first appear in the 1850 Turbut township, Northumberland Co.. census. Their home was situated on the south bank of the Limestone Run watershed, close to William Follmer's grist mill. In modern day terms it was located would be on the ENE side of Neuer Road, about 1000 feet east of Interstate 80.

John's parents are unfound and unproven in 2022, but a (hard to read) baptism record from St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Williams, Northampton Co, Pennsylvania, exists for a John Albrecht with a birthdate of 11 Dec 1808, corresponding very closely to this memorial's John's birthdate, as calculated from his family Bible record attached here. The baptism record shows John's parents were Joseph Albrecht and his wife Susanna.

The compilation's author shares 1 or 2 segments and 9 to 35cMs of dna with at least 9 dna tested descendants of the above Joseph Albrecht (1782-1830) and his siblings Susanna (Albrecht) Stephen (1792-1875) and Salomon Albrecht Sr. (b 27 Jul 1797), who were some of the 9 known children of Theobald 'Dewald' Albright (1759-1811) and Susanna Schmoyer (1763-1817).

John and Hannah's marriage date and place is unknown, but they most likely married ca. 1833. John briefly served as a private during the Mexican War, from "6 Dec 1846 to 27 Jan 1847, in Company G, 2th Regiment". Burial information provided by: Pennsylvania Veterans Burial Card / WPA Project 22181 / Jan 24, 1940.

Born to John and Hannah were 6 boys and 6 girls. The last 2 children born were girls that died in infancy. Listed below are the 12 children of John and Hannah (Smith) Albright, compiled from the Albright Bible records and other research documented by 3X great grandson of John Albright Sr., Mark Hayden, descendant of (4) John S. Albright. The attached Bible records were shared in 2001, with Mark Hayden, by Barbara Rudy, whose family descends from this John Albright's grandson, William Burton Albright, through John's son, (10) Charles P.
