Ray spent many years playing keyboard in local bands. He owned and operated Satellite Systems and Video Cinema of Crowley. When he retired he was the Information Technology manager for Service Chevrolet in Lafayette.
Deacon Rodless Leleux will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. to service time. A rosary will be recited Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Erath.
Ray is survived by his wife of 12 years, Janet Fisher Abadie of Duson; two daughters, Melissa A. Castro of Crowley, Nicole A. Hueser of Lafayette; one son, Brenton R. Abadie of Lafayette; his father, Raymond L. Abadie, Sr. of Crowley; one sister, Nanette A. Stutes and her husband Dwain of Addis; three grandchildren, Grace, Ava and Owen Hueser; two step-sons, Benjamin Anderson and Jeremy Anderson both of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Stout Abadie.
