Mrs. Sanders was born Oct. 22, 1896, in Linwood Township, Anoka County, to Rueben and Hannah Ridge. She attended a country school in Bethel Township near there. After her marriage Oct. 10, 1925, at Bethel to Stuart D. Sanders Sr., they moved to Medbery, N.D., then lived for a short time at Detroit Lakes. She worked in the timber industry with her husband for many years, living in Wilton, Chisholm and finally in Bemidji. While living here she worked for Minnesota Wood Products. She also did a lot of sewing, knitting and embroidery over many years.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Dorothy (Ardell) Buchholtz of Grand Forks, N.D.; a son, Stuart D. (Norma) Sanders of Moorhead; six grancchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dessie Ridge of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Henry, and a sister, Mary Ridge.
