Brigham City- Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother and friend, Don James Chadwick, 95, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 4, 2014.

He was born on November 26, 1918 in Whitney, Franklin, Idaho, a son of James Adam and Tomina Martina "Minnie" Jensen. Don graduated from Preston High School and attended Moscow Idaho College.

Don married his sweetheart, Gladys Sharp on June 15, 1943 in the Logan LDS Temple. They just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

He served in the Northern States Mission and served faithfully in a variety of church service callings. Later in life he served a mission with his wife in the Perth Australia Mission. He was also an ordinance worker in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Don worked for Singer Sewing Company in Idaho, New Mexico and in Provo. He earned his Real Estate license and founded Chadwick Realty. He later became one of the first designated senior real estate appraisers in Utah. After selling his brokerage, he continued to enjoy appraisal work until his retirement. Don was also the President of the Brigham City Lion's Club.

Don had a great sense of humor, enjoyed woodworking, gardening and loved serving others.

The family would like to thank Integrity Home Health and Hospice for their loving care.

Surviving are his wife, Gladys; three children: Reed (Sandra) Chadwick, Farr West; Neil S. (Kathy) Chadwick, Bountiful; Julie Ann (Mike) Collins, Brigham City; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; five sisters, Udell Purser, Zelma Hodges, Floris Tracy, Clarice Ransom, and Carolyn Geddes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four sisters.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints General Missionary Fund in behalf of Don Chadwick.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Brigham City 12th LDS Chapel, 139 East 300 North.

Viewing will be held at the church on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m.

Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
