Obituary

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. Lester L. Fletcher, 84, Gadsden, who died Tuesday, July 17, 2007. The Rev. Larry Fuhrman will officiate. Burial in Forrest Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

He was the son of Lester and Mary Fletcher and worked at Republic Steel from 1955-1985, with most of his years as a crane operator. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of 12th Street Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by wives, Mary Alice Fletcher and Doris Fletcher; parents, Lester and Mary Fletcher; brothers, Willard, Chester and Leon Fletcher; and sisters, Mildred Jackson and Essie Watson.

He is survived by sister, Mary Watson
