Louis B. "Luigi" Welch, 77, lifelong Salida resident, died Nov. 17, 2005, at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Welch was born Jan. 26, 1928, in Salida to Joseph and Caroline (Leo) Welch. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950-52, during the Korean Conflict.
He owned and operated Luigi's Restaurant in Salida for many years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Gina Welch of Salida; brother, Mike (Cynthia) Welch of Salida; nieces, Megan, Beverly and Debbie and nephews, Rick and Ronnie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Barney Welch.
At Mr. Welch's request, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Ark-Valley Humane Society or to Angel of Shavano Hospice through Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home.
