Heart Attack Fatal To John H. Lacy
Retired Fitchburg Farmer Passes Away at Hospital Today.
A heart attack proved fatal today to John H. Lacy, 74, retired town of Fitchburg farmer living at 830 High St., who died at a Madison hospital. A lifelong resident of Dane County, Mr. Lacy had made Madison his home for 12 years.
Mr. Lacy is survived by his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Maurice Purcell, Fitchburg, Mrs. Viola Herrick, Mrs. Arthur Orval and Mrs. S. W. Purcell, all of Madison; four sons, Arthur J., Stoughton; Gregory, Oshkosh, and Leo and Gerald Lacy, Madison, and 21 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 8:30 AM, at the Joyce funeral home, followed by rites at 9 AM, at St. Raphael's church. The Rev. Fr. William Mahoney will officiate and burial will be at Calvary cemetery.
John and Katherine had two additional sons:
Gregory Edward (1906-1985) Also known as Gregg Lacey who died in Green Bay, Brown County, Wisconsin, and Gerald Francis (1909-1974) who died in San Diego, San Diego, California.
