Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Bates McClearen, 77, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the graveside in Chessor cemetery with Bedford Rasbury officiating. Mrs. McClearen, a resident of Hickman County, died Monday night, May 18, at the home of a son, Sam McClearen, in Detroit. Her parents were Milton and Anna Chessor Bates and she was the widow of William G. McClearen. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She is survived by five other sons, Addison, Charlie and Gilbert McClearen, all of Centerville, Jack McClearen, Dearborn, Mich., and Paul McClearen, Wyandotte, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Jessie Coble, Detroit, Mrs. Sue Rasbury, Fort Wayne, Ind., and Mrs. Jeanette Overby, Centerville; a sister, Mrs. Viola Pace, Hohenwald; a brother, Sam Bates, Hohenwald; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
