He was born in Plymouth, Indiana to the late Ora and Edith (Waymire) Brock. He graduated from Anderson High School, Anderson, Indiana. Paul married Barbara L. Miley on April 20, 1957. She survives.
He retired in 1987 from General Motors, where he worked as a press operator. Paul was a member of Brookhaven Wesleyan Church. He was a United States Army Korean War combat veteran, during which he was awarded a Bronze Star. Paul was quite a vegetable gardener and loved to farm in his younger years. He truly loved His Lord and was actively involved in past years in the Grant County Jail Ministry, Grant County Rescue Mission and Marion Inner City Outreach. Paul was very well thought of by many.
Paul is survived by his wife of 56 ½ years, Barbara, Marion, IN; daughter, Amy Brock, Marion, IN; brother, Ben (Twila) Brock, Middletown, IN; nephew, Steve (Jane) Brock, Middletown, IN; niece, Janet (Tom) Carnes, Middletown, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora & Edith Brock of Summitville, IN; son, Andy Brock, baby daughter, Jill Brock; brother, Bob (& his wife Ruth) Brock.
Funeral Service will be at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Brookhaven Wesleyan Church, 2960 E. 38th St., Marion, with Pastors, Bob Van Cise, Gale Janofski, and Brad Wright officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 10-11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
