Mr. Lewis "Glenn" Abbott, age 57 of Conyers, died Friday, January 3, 2014. Glenn graduated RCHS in 1974 and was a lifelong resident of Rockdale County. He was an exceptional athlete and outdoors man. Hobbies included hunting, fishing, golfing, visiting with friends and family and loving life. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Irona Abbott and Harvey and Minnie Wooley. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Abbott and future son-in-law, Tyler Hughey; son, William Glenn "Billy" Abbott; parents, Gene and Frances Abbott; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Cindy Abbott; sister and brother-in-law, Debra and Jerry White; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Beth Abbott; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friend, Jovona Kiser. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Rockdale Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jim Martin officiating; interment will follow at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, Lithonia.
