Catherine Sidla-Curtis (nee Iwanyshyn), 96, of Island Heights, NJ died on Tuesday December 17, 2013 at Arbors Care Center. She was born in Linden, and lived in Roselle, before moving to Island Heights, NJ in 1976. She was a member of St. Vladimir's RO Church, Jackson, NJ. She was also an original member of the Linden Arians Women's Baseball League, the Island Heights Cultural Society and she was an avid golfer. She is preceded in death by her parents Dimitry and Pauline Iwanyshyn, her first husband Benjamin Sidla, and her 2nd husband Robert Curtis. Surviving are her brother John I. and his wife Inez and many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. The family will gather at the funeral home Friday at 9:30am. A graveside service will be Friday 11am at St. Vladimir's RO Cemetery, Jackson, NJ.
