Paul James Neeley, age 73, of Brookville, Indiana died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Vitas Hospice Inpatient Care Unit at the Drake Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born March 19, 1938 in Franklin County, Indiana he was the son of the late Golden & Virgie (Burch) Neeley. On August 1, 1957 he and the former Joyce Pelfrey were united in marriage and she survives.

He was a retired Electrician, having worked at Wagner-Smith Electric in Dayton, Ohio for many years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #82 of Dayton, Ohio.

Besides Joyce, his wife of nearly 54 years, survivors include six children, Timothy Neeley of Sarasota, Florida, Judy (Steve) Drewes of Brookville, Indiana, Jenny (Doug) Shell of Brookville, Indiana, Lenny (Diana) Neeley of Ketchikan, Alaska, Lisa Miranda of Greendale, Indiana and Marla (Robert) Montague of Jackson, New Jersey; five sisters, Susie Rowland of Germantown, Ohio, Laverne Blakely of Sunman, Indiana, Lorraine Robinson of Brookville, Indiana Loretta Palmer of Indianapolis, Indiana and Daisy Henry of Port Richey, Florida; four brothers, Clyde Neeley of Brookville, Indiana, David Neeley of Cincinnati, Ohio, Charles Neeley of Metamora, Indiana and Clarence Neeley of Florida; twelve grandchildren as well as three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son, Jimmy Neeley, one sister, and three brothers.

Family & friends may visit from 4 till 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Ave., Brookville.

Pastor Tom Marshall will officiate the Funeral Services on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, 10:30 A.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville. Burial will then follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana.
