Mrs. Wilkes was a native of Montgomery County and had lived in Jacksonville 12 years. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, L.H. Wilkes of Savannah and Arva L. Wilkes of Valdosta; two daughters, Mrs. L.W. Blount and Mrs. J.P. McKay, both of Jacksonville; a sister, Mrs. Leona Wilkes of Sylvania; three brothers, J.K. McDonald and I.A. McDonald both of Vidalia, and John McDonald of Tarrytown.
