She was born in Portland, Ore., Sept. 18, 1935, the daughter of Donald Wattis Bowman and Dorothy Knowlden Bowman. They later divorced. She then married Joseph H. Cope, and they had three sons. They were later divorced. She was a hard-working single mother who raised her six boys. In 1971, she moved to California and continued her work as a bookkeeper. She loved her grandchildren and gathered them together every summer at her home for bonding time. After her boys were raised, she met and married the love of her life, Joseph A Michael, Sept. 13, 1980, who also brought three children of his own to the family. They had a wonderful life, filled with world travel and adventures, during 29 years of marriage. In 1997, following retirement they moved to Las Vegas and became very strong supporters of the Andre Agassi Foundation and loved the work being done by that foundation.
