Eugene E. White passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Crossroads Living Center in Delta, Colorado. He was 90 years of age.

Eugene was born to Ervin and Sarah (Stallings) White on May 12, 1923 in Delta, Colorado. He attended schools in Delta and graduated from Delta High School in 1941. Gene grew up on the farm and ranch on 25 Mesa who his grandparents, Noah and Mahaley White, homesteaded in the late 1890's.

Eugene proudly served his country in the United States Army. He joined on February 7, 1942 and served in the 10th Mountain Division and was deployed to Italy. He married Goldie Marie Midkiff in 1944.

He worked for the telephone company for 35 years in California and retired from Mountain Bell in February of 1981.

After retiring, he moved to Cedaredge, Colorado. He belonged to the Cedaredge Assembly of God. Eugene liked to hunt and fish and garden. He also enjoyed horses and country living.

He is survived by his two sons: Daniel White, of Atascadero, CA and Larry White; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Sarah White; his wife, Goldie White; and a son, Michael White.
